What comfort-related results does Metabuild deliver?
Metabuild provides you with transparent insights into daylight, thermal comfort and indoor air quality — including where buildings become critical in operation (e.g. overheating, under-ventilation, poor air quality) and which measures deliver the greatest comfort gains.
We simulate real building operation over 8,760 hours per year and show when, where and why comfort issues occur.
Key outputs include:
- Daylight comfort: share of adequately daylit area (sDA – Spatial Daylight Autonomy), areas with potential glare or overexposure (ASE – Annual Sunlight Exposure), and more.
- Thermal comfort: time shares within comfort categories (I–III), overheating and discomfort hours, and operative temperature as perceived temperature.
- Air quality: CO₂ concentrations, contaminant indicators (e.g. TVOC), humidity, outdoor air flow rates and air change rates.
- Draft and radiant effects: early-warning indicators for typical comfort drivers such as excessive air movement or hot/cold surfaces.
